Waste is perhaps one of the largest culprits when it comes to pollution. 1. Invest in re-usable bags. California outlawed plastic bags to be used in grocery stores, charging 10 cents for each paper bag given to customers. 2. Replace burnt-out light bulbs with LED lights. Now, don’t go replacing all the bulbs in your home with LED all at once or you will find yourself in a situation with no lights when the bulbs life ends. 3. Did you know: The air inside your home is actually five times more polluted than the air you breathe outdoors? We use a lot of chemical in our homes to get them clean and bacteria free. Many of us use air fresheners that actually pollute the air and can damage the lungs. Try activated charcoal as a natural air purifier. A fantastic way to purify indoor air is with activated charcoal, also referred to as activated carbon.
